A richly decorated early 20th-century ceramic jardinière or vase featuring deep cobalt blue, warm cognac brown, and pale aqua glazing. The substantial vessel is embellished with dramatic raised floral and foliate decoration, including a central flowering motif surrounded by sculptural leaves.
The combination of high-relief ornament, textured backgrounds, glossy glaze, and saturated color gives the piece the distinctive decorative character associated with European majolica and Art Nouveau-era ceramics. A beaded border and scrolling foliage around the upper rim add architectural detail.
Beautiful as a standalone decorative object, cachepot, or planter, this piece brings bold color and turn-of-the-century character to a traditional, eclectic, or collected interior.
